Doc Popcorn has signed its 100th franchise agreement with a local husband-and-wife team to offer the first popcorn Doc Popcorn in Oklahoma.
Starting in June, Dolphus and Alma Chancy of Claremore will be selling Doc Popcorn from a cart in the BOK Center.
According to a release, Doc Popcorn began in 2003 when Rob and Renee Israel began blending and popping their own naturally flavored popcorn. The popcorn offers a variety of distinctive flavors.
Doc Popcorn started franchising in 2009 and has opened 80 locations in 25 states with an additional 300 units in development. The popcorn is sold from PopShops, PopKiosks and Mobile PopCarts in shopping malls, stadiums and other entertainment venues.
